Areas of service

We believe the church is a family and every person has a role to play.  Every person has a gift to be shared.  We encourage everyone of any age to serve in an area of the church.  At times it just takes courage to volunteer and through that you will find where you gifting.  We encourage you to get involved.

We believe that those who serve in the church find life, friends, love, belonging and purpose.  Contact Leanne on info@keystonechurch.co.za to find out where best to play your part in the family of God.

Worship Team

Our Worship Team serves at the very heart of our Sunday gatherings.
This team carries the beautiful responsibility of leading our church family into moments of joy, surrender, gratitude, and encounter. Lives are impacted, faith is strengthened, and hope is restored — all through the gift of worship.

Why Join the Worship Team?
If you have a passion for singing or playing an instrument, this is an opportunity to use your gifts for something eternal. Being part of the Worship Team isn’t about performance — it’s about purpose. It’s about serving with humility, growing spiritually, building meaningful friendships, and helping others experience God in a powerful way.

When you step onto this team, you’re not just joining a group — you’re becoming part of a ministry that helps shape the spiritual atmosphere of our church.

AV & Sound Team

The AV & Sound Team may work behind the scenes, but their impact is seen and heard every single Sunday.

Our AV Team ensures that every worship lyric is displayed clearly and every presentation during the preach runs smoothly. From projecting songs on the screen to supporting visuals for the message, they help the whole church stay engaged and connected.

Our Sound Team makes sure every note, every word, and every prayer is heard. They set up and manage the sound for the worship team and ensure the microphone is clear and balanced. They carry the responsibility of creating an atmosphere where nothing hinders the message or the moment.

Why Join the AV & Sound Team?
If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy technology, or love working behind the scenes, this team is for you. You don’t have to be on stage to make a powerful impact — some of the most important ministry happens at the back of the room.

Serving on the AV & Sound Team means being part of the backbone of every service. You become a vital part of making Sunday mornings happen.
If you’re willing to learn, grow, and serve faithfully, there’s a place for you here. Step into a role that may not always be seen — but is always essential.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team is often the very first expression of our church that someone experiences. With warm smiles and open hearts, they stand at the front door each Sunday morning to greet every person who walks in — whether it’s a first-time visitor or a long-time member.

They help people feel seen, valued, and at home. A simple greeting, a kind word, or a friendly introduction can ease nerves, calm anxieties, and turn an ordinary morning into a moment of belonging.
This team sets the tone for the entire service. Before a single song is sung or a word is preached, the Welcome Team is already ministering through hospitality and kindness.

Why Join the Welcome Team?
If you have a heart for people and enjoy making others feel comfortable, this is a beautiful way to serve. You don’t need special skills — just a friendly spirit and a willingness to connect.

Serving on the Welcome Team means being part of someone’s first impression of church. It means helping to create a culture where everyone feels accepted, loved, and excited to return.

Your smile could be the reason someone decides to stay. Your kindness could be the reason someone feels they’ve found home.
Be a friendly face at the door — and help open hearts before they even take a seat.

Hospitality Team

The Hospitality Team serves with warmth, care, and a heart to make everyone feel at home. Long before the service begins, they are already preparing — boiling water, brewing fresh coffee, setting out cups, and arranging rusks and biscuits with excellence and love.

Before and after the service, they welcome people to the coffee area, serving tea, coffee, or water with a smile. What may seem like a simple cup of coffee often becomes something much more — a moment of connection, encouragement, or new friendship.

They are the friendly faces behind the kitchen counter, creating a space where conversations happen and community is strengthened. And when everyone has gone home, they faithfully clean up every cup and dish, serving until the very end.
Hospitality is more than refreshments — it is ministry. It is making space for people to feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Why Join the Hospitality Team?
If you love serving people, creating welcoming spaces, and bringing hope, this team is for you. You don’t need special skills — just a warm heart and a willingness to serve.

By joining the Hospitality Team, you become part of building community.
Come be part of creating a space where everyone feels at home — one cup at a time.

Set-Up Team

The Set-Up Team are the builders behind every Sunday. Before most people arrive, they are already hard at work transforming a simple hall into a welcoming place of worship.
They carefully set up chairs, worship equipment, coffee tables, banners, and everything else needed for the morning.

Because of their dedication, the space is ready, organized, and inviting — creating an environment where people can walk in and focus fully on worship and the Word.
And their service doesn’t end when the last person leaves. They faithfully stay to pack down, reset, and ensure everything is properly stored and ready for the next gathering.

This team may work quietly and behind the scenes, but their impact is seen everywhere. Every seat someone sits on, every microphone used, every cup of coffee shared — it all begins with them.

Why Join the Set-Up Team?
If you enjoy being hands-on, working as part of a team, and seeing practical results from your effort, this is a meaningful way to serve. No special skills are required — just a willing heart and a servant spirit.

You may not always be on stage, but you are laying the foundation for everything that happens.
Come help build the atmosphere where lives are changed — one chair at a time.

Love in Action Team

The Love in Action Team is the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. This team exists to serve those who are vulnerable, grieving, struggling, or walking through difficult seasons of life.|
It is a ministry of compassion — bringing practical help, heartfelt prayer, and the powerful presence of God to those who need it most.

This team doesn’t just speak about love — they demonstrate it. Whether through a warm meal, a set of clothes, or standing beside someone in prayer, they bring comfort, hope, and faith into real-life situations.
At its heart, Love in Action is about reminding people that they are not alone — and that God sees them, cares for them, and walks with them.

There are three beautiful expressions within this team:
👕 Clothing Outreach
Collecting gently used clothing and distributing it to those in need. What may no longer be needed in one home can become a powerful blessing in another. This group helps restore dignity and provide practical support through generosity.

🍲 Meal Support
Preparing and delivering meals to individuals or families who are grieving, overwhelmed, or facing hardship. A home-cooked meal becomes more than food — it becomes care, comfort, and love during difficult moments.

🙏 Prayer & Care
Going out to pray with those in need — whether in hospital, at home, or even in a park. This group offers spiritual support, encouragement from God’s Word, and faith-filled prayer that brings hope and strength. They stand with people in their pain and gently point them toward God’s promises.

Why Join the Love in Action Team?
If you have a compassionate heart and a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, this team is a powerful place to serve. You may not have all the answers — but you can bring love, presence, and faith. Come be part of a ministry that brings practical help and eternal hope.

Come share love. Come carry hope. Come be Love in Action.

Kids Ministry Team

Our Kids Ministry Team is shaping the next generation — building strong foundations of faith in the hearts of our children.

Every Sunday, our dedicated teachers and assistants create a safe, joyful, and faith-filled environment where children can learn about God in ways they understand and enjoy. They don’t just supervise — they teach, encourage, listen and invest into young lives.

We have three vibrant classes:

  • Flintstones – for toddlers, where little ones are introduced to God’s love in a nurturing and caring environment.
  • Livingstones – for Grades 1–3, where children begin to grow in their understanding of Bible stories and what it means to live faithfully.
  • Rollingstones – for Grades 4–7, where pre-teens are encouraged to deepen their faith, ask questions, and apply biblical truth to their everyday lives.

Each week, our team prepares engaging Bible lessons, creative crafts, and fun games that connect directly to the message being taught. Through storytelling, activities, and laughter, children don’t just hear about God — they experience His love in practical and memorable ways.

This ministry is about more than childcare. It’s about building the next generation of believers — planting seeds of truth that will grow for years to come.

Why Join the Kids Ministry Team?
If you have a heart for children and a desire to make a lasting impact, this team is a powerful place to serve. You don’t need to have all the answers — just patience, love, and a willingness to pour into young lives.

Serving in Kids Ministry means you are helping shape future leaders, worshippers, and world-changers. The lessons you teach today could guide a child for a lifetime.

Come be part of building the next generation — one story, one craft, and one smiling face at a time.
